Contact information for individual Board members is available in the Association Newsletters. HistoryThe Creekside in Sumner Homeowners Association was set up by the builders (Robinson Homes / Dave Prutzman). In 2004, control of the Association was handed over to the homeowners, who elected Nancy Retynski (President, three-year term), Keith Miller (Vice President, one-year term), and Phil Johnson (Secretary/Treasurer, two-year term) to serve on the Board. Together, this Board accomplished transacting records from the builder [not a task to be taken lightly, as incomplete records were received], obtaining liability insurance for the Association, setting up and maintaining accounts, contracting landscape maintenance for Association property, and investigating issues relating to neighborhood safety, including locking cluster box units for mail and speeding and parking issues. In 2005, Phil Johnson continued his two-year term as Treasurer and was joined by Allan Avery (President, three-year term) and Tiffany Adamowski (VP/Secretary, one-year term). The three tackled issues relating to public area maintenance, radio tower interference, and more (see the historical newsletters for details). Allan resigned from the Board in September 2005. As stated in the CC&Rs, the remaining two Board members may appoint a replacement; hence, Paul Walters was appointed and served as President from September 2005 through March 2006. During that time, Paul served an integral role, along with Phil, in getting the Creekside books in order and all homeowner accounts current. At the March 2006 Annual Meeting, Paul Walters, Nikki Smith, and Linda Irvin were elected to the board. They have continued to work with the City with regard to the radio tower (now relocated!) and maintenance of public areas, such as the retention pond and small park areas. |
